We called what happened last weekend in Merrivale , The Triduum. First Profession on Friday 6th September 201., Final Profession on Saturday 7th and Diaconate ordination on Sunday the 8th. Friday evening saw brothers Yohane, Blessings and Maurice make their first consecration in a solemn and cool celebration. There after, a nice evening of entertainment. On Saturday, Mass started at 10am, officiated by the Provincial. A big family contingent from Malawi, the families of Bro Richard, Dumisani and Francis were present, as well as two priests from Malawi. Each brother was led by a family member that brought him forward when his name was called out. The Malawian choir from St Anthony’s Pietermaritzburg gave a great lift touch to the liturgy. Sunday at St Pete’s Point Road was the final blend to the weekend. Another sparkling choir and storming congregation. The homily of Bishop Jwara was on point in the Point Road and the liturgy was very good. The entertainment after Mass was so joyful that people were not in any hurry to leave, including the bishop.
